Bayard Welcomes New Director Ian McCauley
Wilmington, Delaware- Bayard, PA is pleased to announce that Ian D. McCauley joined the firm as a Director in its Litigation Group on February 21, 2022. Ian will lead the growing electronic discovery practice and needs of the firm’s litigation and bankruptcy clients. Ian brings 14+ years of experience and specialization in this ever-expanding area of litigation.
He has significant experience advising litigants in the Court of Chancery, Superior Court, District Court, and Bankruptcy Court on making defensible, efficient, and strategic decisions regarding the preservation, collection, and production of electronically stored information (ESI). He routinely consults with clients on document preservation and collection strategies; negotiates with opposing parties regarding the scope of document collection, review, and production; manages large-scale reviews of ESI for both internal investigative and litigation purposes; and argues discovery-related motions in the various Delaware courts. Ian also frequently speaks on electronic discovery topics.
Ian’s approach employs common sense solutions while emphasizing effective project management and leverage of emerging technology. His approach is designed to defensibly control the ever-growing costs associated with discovery while providing his clients with a strategic advantage in litigation. In addition to eDiscovery, Ian advises clients and co-counsel on litigation readiness, information governance, and data privacy issues.
