Bayard Director Ian McCauley to Present at DSBA eDiscovery CLE
Wilmington, Delaware—Bayard director Ian D. McCauley is scheduled to speak as part of a three-part panel discussion in a CLE titled Recent Developments in Privacy and Data Security, eDiscovery and AI 2023, on October 4, 2023, from 9 am to 12:30 pm. Ian’s panel will cover recent developments in eDiscovery locally and nationally, negotiation of eDiscovery protocols, the challenge of dealing with modern attachments, and best practices for handling mobile data. The seminar is sponsored by the E-Discovery and Technology Law Section of the Delaware State Bar Association. It will be held at the Delaware State Bar Association’s office in Wilmington as well as its two satellite locations where a live broadcast will be provided.
The seminar has been approved for three enhanced ethics CLE credits for Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Ian focuses his practice on electronic discovery from the anticipation to the conclusion of litigation. He has significant experience advising litigants in the Court of Chancery, Superior Court, District Court, and Bankruptcy Court on making defensible, efficient, and strategic decisions regarding the preservation, collection, and production of electronically stored information (ESI). He routinely consults with clients on document preservation and collection strategies; negotiates with opposing parties regarding the scope of document collection, review, and production; manages large-scale reviews of ESI for both internal investigative and litigation purposes; and argues discovery-related motions in the various Delaware courts.
