Biography
Before joining Bayard, Justin practiced in the corporate litigation group at another Wilmington law firm.
Justin C. Barrett is an associate in Bayard’s Litigation Department. Justin focuses primarily on litigation in the Delaware Court of Chancery, the Delaware Superior Court, and the Delaware Supreme Court involving corporate governance, corporate control, fiduciary duties, contractual disputes, corporate appraisals, and other commercial disputes.
Justin graduated magna cum laude from law school at Georgetown University Law Center in 2017 and was inducted into the Order of the Coif. While in law school, Justin was an active member of the Barristers’ Council Appellate Advocacy Team. He was also the student Managing Editor for The Tax Lawyer, the American Bar Association Tax Section’s quarterly peer-reviewed tax law journal. In 2017, Justin received the CALI Award for writing the best exam in his Unincorporated Business Entities class, which was taught by former Vice Chancellor Donald F. Parsons, Jr.Before joining Bayard, Justin practiced in the corporate litigation group at another Wilmington law firm.
