Wilmington, Delaware—Bayard restructuring director Ericka F. Johnson is scheduled to speak on a panel on December 2, 2023, at this year’s ABI Winter Leadership Conference held in Scottsdale, Arizona. She will join U.S. Bankruptcy Court Judge (D. Del) Honorable Thomas M. Horan, founder of Legal Decoder Joseph R. Tiano, Jr., and Regent's Professor of Law and director of the Center for Law, Science and Innovation at Arizona State University, Gary Marchant, to discuss the ethical use of Artificial Intelligence in the legal industry in a panel titled “To Use or Not to Use: Ethics and the Use of AI in the Legal Industry”.

Ericka is well-versed in bankruptcy litigation matters, including preference, fraudulent transfer, turnover, and breaches of contract and fiduciary duty actions. She regularly litigates contested matters including involuntary bankruptcies, motions for the appointment of Chapter 11 trustees, claim objections, plan confirmation objections, and dismissal/conversion motions.  Ericka is a top advocate with a diverse practice spanning a wide range of industries.  She is recognized for her proactive, practical approach when guiding clients, including debtors, creditors’ committees, trustees, and governmental units through the restructuring process.
