Bayard Director Evan Miller Scheduled to Speak at 2022 Views from the Bench
Wilmington, Delaware- The biannual Views from the Bench program returns to Wilmington, Delaware on Thursday, November 17, 2022, and Bayard restructuring director Evan T. Miller is scheduled to speak on the afternoon panel titled “Valuing the Difficult Asset,” and will be joined by Hon. Christopher S. Sontchi (ret.), Laura Davis Jones of Pachulski Stang Ziehl & Jones, and J. Scott Victor of SSG Capital Advisors, LLC; the panel will be moderated by Norman L. Pernick of Cole Schotz P.C. The panelists will discuss best practices and methodologies for valuing hard-to-value assets in bankruptcy cases, including cryptocurrency, intellectual property, airlines, and many more.
The one-day conference, jointly presented by the American Bankruptcy Institute and Bankruptcy Section of the Delaware State Bar Association, will take place at the Hotel DuPont in downtown Wilmington.
Evan concentrates his practice in the areas of corporate bankruptcy and restructuring, representing debtors (both voluntary and involuntary) and trustees, in addition to secured creditors, asset purchasers, landlords, official committees of unsecured creditors, vendors, and litigants in bankruptcy courts across the country. His clientele stems from a wide range of industries, including aviation, blockchain/cryptocurrency, restaurants, insurance, retail, healthcare, energy, and education, among many others. Evan is a certified mediator for the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Delaware and has also served as an expert witness in the areas of restructuring and insolvency. He is a frequent speaker on topics in the restructuring space.
