Dick Kirk attended the annual meeting of the past presidents of the Delaware State Bar Association. The purpose of this gathering is to let the current DSBA president and president-elect share ideas with their predecessors. Dick was president of the DSBA in 1993-1994, and at the time was the youngest president ever.
Dick Kirk is long time chair of the bar association’s Committee on Response to Public Comment. This committee jumps in when a judge is unfairly criticized in the media for a judicial action and cannot respond because the matter is pending. Typically the committee drafts an op-ed response that appears as soon as possible after the criticism.
